Join Nice Work for a weekend of challenges along scenic the Jurassic Coast!

Nice Work are pleased to be organising the 2022 Purbeck Running Festival.

Swanage, Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast has spectacular history, landscapes and views, and have been home to The Purbeck Marathon and Purbeck 16 for a number of years.

The course with 2000 feet of climbs provides a predominately off-road Marathon that is both challenging and rewarding. It is possibly one of the most scenic marathons in the UK.

In addition to the Purbeck Marathon and 16 Mile race, we are pleased to offer a choice of events and days to the weekend.

For the first time there will be a choice of Ultra, Marathon, 16 Mile, 6 Mile and 3 Mile. Throw in Nordic Walking and there is a choice for everyone!

We also offer runners the oppitunity to run the marathon or 16 mile on both the Saturday or the Sunday… or both!

The weekend is now under the management of Nice Work and we will continue to add more improvements to the race this year. We bring to you the same fantastic scenery, big hills, fully signed and marshalled course, but with some new additions:

A fantastic large bespoke medal for all finishers

A technical t-shirt for all Ultra, Marathon & 16 Mile finishers (or purchase for £12 for other races)

Well stocked aid stations for the Ultra, Marathon and 16 races with a selection of sweets and goodies.

An event village including teas, coffee, light snacks and cakes and a licenced bar.

Calling all Nordic Walkers! Come and enjoy spectacular scenery and camaraderie as you challenge yourself to tackle these iconic routes along the Coastal paths and wild terrain of the Isle of Purbeck. Whilst there are medals and T shirts for all finishers, these events are not all about speed or racing so feel free to take part as a group or to go it alone.

You will walk along cliff tops, through country parks, past stunning coves and through lost villages. Views of Castles, steam railways, lighthouses and breath taking scenery will make up for the tough parts where you will be climbing or descending the chalk ridges to define the area which is a World heritage site.
