Traverse the Beacons Way, some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in Bannau Brycheiniog, the Brecon Beacons National Park. the 100 Mile starts at Abergavenny Castle (with 10 checkpoints spanning the route) before heading to the Holy Mountain, the Skirrid and into the Black Mountains before crossing paths with the 105km for the central Beacons onwards.  The 105km starts near Talybont-on-Usk, joining the Beacons Way National Trail with 6 Checkpoints supporting your progress along this EPIC Journey. With 6143m of ascent on the 100 mile ultramarathon and 3178m of ascent spanning 105km, both races’ are navigation event following the Beacons Way National Trail!

Live Online GPS Tracking via GB Race Tracker, breathtaking views and amazing support from the #GBUltras team, the event also attains UTMB performance index points and ITRA points and there is also optional transport back to the start venue’s after the event.

Top 100 finishers earn a Gold ‘Beacons Way 100km’ Medal, 101-200 finishers earn a Silver 100km Medal and 201 finishers earn the Bronze 100km Medal. There are additional prizes for the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers!

The route follows the official trail of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Beacons Way. The ability to navigate is expected during this event and runners must therefore have map reading skills.  The event is ‘By Application’ only with limited places available.
