150 marathons in 150 days

Doing one marathon is a fantastic achievement in itself. From the preparation to the execution and the relief when you cross the finish line makes it all worth it.

But how would you feel if you did 150 marathons in 150 days?

That is precisely what Australian Erchana Murray-Bartlett completed in January.  Starting at the most Northern point of Australia, Cape York, before making her way down to Melbourne, the most Southern end of mainland Australia finishing on the 15th of January 2023, covering a total distance of 6333km (3940 miles).

It was a childhood dream of Murray-Bartlett to run the length of Australia. After taking up running at the age of 23, she eventually built up to be a marathon runner. During the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, they started planning for this epic challenge.

“I had all this fitness and motivation but nowhere to drive it,” she said.
