Fitness Brand On has recently released its Cyclon range, featuring a 100% recyclable, high-performance running shoe that you can subscribe to for just £25 a month. Tackling the ever-growing wave of sustainability, On uses techniques to ensure the shoe is sustainably made and hopes to drive people towards making better choices regarding their running gear.
Their website described the shoe as: “Inspired by our elite racing shoes, the extreme rocker silhouette comes from the hidden Speedboard®, which is made from 100% bio-based material.”
According to JogOn, around 33 million pairs of running shoes end up in landfills yearly; sources state that some shoe soles take thousands of years to degrade, resulting in massive strain on resources and affecting the planet.
