Running through Pregnancy – Sophie Carter

Sophie works incredibly hard to be a role model for her family

Empowering other women to challenge their inner monologue, Sophie Carter has continued to run throughout her pregnancy, and now feels stronger than ever.

British 100km silver medallist Sophie is used to pushing past her limits. Raising her four children whilst retaining her running success, she works incredibly hard to be a role model for her family.

In fact, Sophie first began running ultras during an intense period of her life.

“I first started running ultras when my mum died, the experience taught me that I could run further than I previously thought, and it helped me with my grief.”

“I ran as a single mother and running was a constant that I needed in my life, it pushed me to believe that I could keep going and gave me an outlet to express my emotions,” she said.
