Montane Launch Spring Challenge With Strava

Encouraging competitors to get outdoors and experience Springtime

British outdoor clothing giant Montane has again partnered with the popular exercise and social network app Strava for a second consecutive season to encourage people to use the brighter days and longer nights with the launch of the ‘Montane 30km Spring Challenge.’

The challenge, which will be launched in May, will challenge individuals to get outside and make the most of spring by completing a 30km distance over two weeks.

The challenge can be completed in segments or in one go, from May 1st until May 14th. The Montane Dragon’s Back Race inspired the race and encouraged participants to go further and faster.

Hike, run, walk or wheelchair, competitors will unlock exclusive discounts and be in the chance to win £300 worth of Montane kit alongside a Montane digital badge in the Strava app.

Those who complete the challenge and sign up to claim their reward will also have the option to enter a draw to win a place at the 2023 Dragon’s Back Race in September.

The challenge has been designed with accessibility in mind, meaning it’s excellent for individuals of all abilities and disciplines, whether it be those training for an ultra-marathon or those simply looking to get out and explore more.

On the launch, Montane’s Marketing Director, Matthew Hickman, commented:

“It is great to be partnering with Strava once again to inspire participants to push themselves to their limits. The ‘Montane 30km Spring Challenge’ is a great way to add challenges to any current training plan, or it can be used to encourage exploring more as the seasons change.

“More hours of daylight mean that spring is a great time to re-energise, look ahead, and set new goals to go further than ever before, and this challenge is a good place to start.”

The ‘Montane 30km Spring Challenge’ will launch on May 1st2023 and entrants can register here.
