You may have heard Josh Patterson’s name before. He used to grace our tv screens on the reality TV show Made in Chelsea. Now, he spends his time collaborating with some incredible industry professionals to achieve sporting and charity goals.

“I think for me – my passion in life is to improve others mental health – these challenges allowed me to connect to many people,” Josh says. “Running is one of the most accessible and inclusive sports possible. Any ability could do their part.”

Josh ran in support of the mental health charity Samaritans after his own struggles with depression and anxiety. His mental health battles meant that at his lowest, he even considered taking his own life. Over recent years, men’s mental health has been thrust into the spotlight as suicide is currently the leading cause of death for men under 50. [1]

To raise money to fund such an important charity, Josh endeavoured to do 76 marathons across 76 UK cities in just 76 days. All in all, he ran 1991.2 miles, with each city representing a local Samaritans centre.

‘We had 12 weeks to train Josh up’

Reaching out for help is essential for your mental health; it only gets better when we begin to talk. Josh took this in his stride, knowing he would struggle to do this alone.

He reached out to specialists working at Until, the home of London’s top prevention-focused health and wellness professionals. He was gladly welcomed by an elite team of experts who would train and support him over the following months.
