I’m training for my first ultramarathon and being a plus size women I have struggled to find leggings that fit comfortably, or that don’t roll down once I start to move and don’t go see-through once they are on.
I’m new to the world of bamboo clothing so I thoroughly checked the sizing on the BAM website and a large was the biggest size available. Therefore this is the one I thought it best to put to the test as I am normally a size 18/20.
The Flexa Seamless Gym Leggings from BAM arrived quickly and I was initially a little concerned they weren’t going to fit as they looked tiny. But after inspection they did have a good stretch in them.
So off I went to try them on and not only was I surprised that they fit but they were so comfortable with the supersoft material. They made me feel confident and they didn’t dig into me with the high waist. Their seamless design looked great on, I really liked the black and slate patterned colour-way. I felt they held me in where I usually feel the most conscious without highlighting any particular area.

I’m also only 5ft 2” and usually find that because I order a larger size the bottom of the leggings are always a bit loose. The Flexa Seamless leggings also fit perfect around the whole of my leg.
When I was out on a 10 mile run they didn’t move at all and I didn’t have to pull them up at any point – the only thing I did miss was having any kind of pockets on them.
Overall, the aspects I liked:
– The sizing was generous. The Flexa Seamless leggings fit up to a size 20
– A high waist with no rolling down
– The length was great
– Fantastic 360° stretch and still not see-through
– No chafing
– Great looking design
Things I missed:
– No pockets
